Our Story

 

I'm Shereen, a nature lover and addicted to art, colours and textures.
Holding a BFA degree majoring in interior design and expressive arts, followed by a master’s degree in set design from the faculty of fine arts - University of Alexandria, Egypt.
After working for a few years teaching in higher education back at my hometown university in Egypt, I was stationed in Dubai with my beloved family for more than a decade & enjoyed the diverse cultural exposure . In 2018, I moved with my wonderful husband and two kids to St.John’s-NL,Canada & now happily call it home.
As a stay-at-home mom, I’m spending my days trying to balance raising a family, maintaining a home, and being an artist. Back in 2018 , punch needle hoop art and macrame were my mediums to go as a self-taught fibre artist. Then, In 2021, I launched my small business, ShereenMade, and added visual art to my portfolio to create digital art illustrations.  
My love of jewellery making started in 2017 after attending a Jewellery design and making workshop and loved practicing some of the traditional goldsmith techniques . Recently, I got more interested in polymer clay earrings and love how fashionable and unique they are as I wear them, and then the art spark struck once again “ let’s make some beautiful earrings “ and this is how ShereenMadeCo started.
For now, I’m an artist and illustrator behind ShereenMade, and the maker behind ShereenMade Collective and still exploring and experimenting with various mediums of art expression.
